DECISION SPRINTS

Rapid facilitated workshops.
Resolve tricky challenges quickly.

If your team is facing complex process and people challenges, we can help you resolve them very quickly. Our facilitated problem-solving process compresses months of 'normal' work into a few days.

Our workshops are called Decision Sprints and they are based on Google's revolutionary Design Sprint methodology.

"We achieved more in a day than we normally manage in a month."

It's an intense 3-stage group activity that creates rapid breakthroughs. Each Decision Sprint is built around your specific needs and the whole process can be completed very rapidly.

Our facilitator helps your team focus their expertise onto a specific issue. Our subject matter experts cross-pollinate ideas from other sectors. We don't bring recycled answers, we help you create new ones.

We guarantee a realistic fixed price with limited demands on your time. It’s a low-risk opportunity to test a new way of working.

No distractions. Pure focus.

A Decision Sprint is a concentrated burst of effort and creativity for solving problems and making decisions quickly. It is a structured process with pre-defined activities and a clear agenda. Distractions are not allowed, no mobile phones, no checking email, no social media.

Our facilitator helps your team focus their experience and expertise onto a single issue without any distractions. Our subject matter experts cross-pollinate ideas from other sectors.

In days we will help your team unlock creative solutions they can implement immediately.

Fresh insights and a new process will help you see things more clearly. It's not consulting because we don't tell you what to do, we help you find your own solutions.

Address the right problem.

Our unique Decision Sprint methodology accelerates problem-solving, delivering rapid results in days rather than months. But we need to focus on the right issue to make best use of your time. So the first step in any Decision Sprint is to agree a clear definition of the problem, issue or challenge to address.

The 'problem statement' should meet several criteria for the sprint to be effective:

  • Focus on the future - Successful outcomes not past failures "How might we align HR services with new regulatory requirements in a cost-effective way?"
  • Specific not woolly - Encourages focus without stifling creativity "What’s the best way to improve cross-department collaboration without adding new tools?"
  • Emphasise action - Outcomes to act on immediately "What steps might reduce meeting overload while maintaining team alignment?"
  • A proper problem - It should be immediate and important "How might we simplify employee self-service for routine HR tasks?"
  • Realistic - We won't waste your valuable time and attention tilting at windmills.

Cross-fertilisation.

A key element of a Decision Sprint is the use of experts to stimulate and inform decision-making.

Experts from within your organisation can be interviewed by your team. And, where relevant, we bring experts from other sectors to introduce new ideas your team may not be familiar with.

These fresh insights can help you see things more clearly. It's not traditional consulting or advisory because we don't tell you what to do, we help you find your own solutions.

A fixed price for a tailored package.

We guarantee a realistic fixed price and sprints can be customised to address almost any issue.

It’s a low-risk opportunity to fix a specific problem and try a new way of working.
